The 21-year-old talent didn't have to wait long for an opportunity to join Oceania's best team following his short-lived stint with TALON.
Former TALON player Corey "nettik" Browne has completed FlyQuest's roster, the organization announced on Saturday.
The 21-year-old replaces Christopher "dexter" Nong on the roster, while Joshua "INS" Potter takes over captaincy following the former in-game leader's removal.
"I'm excited to step up as in-game leader," INS said about the move in a statement. "I've always had the capabilities, and I can't wait to build a system with erkaSt and bring out the best in everyone."
"Adding nettik brings in some serious firepower. He's one of the best riflers in Oceania."
nettik has long been considered one of the biggest talents in Oceania. The New Zealander was putting on impressive performances on the regional scene with Rooster ever since he was 16 years old and continued to do so in his short-lived stint with TALON.
That officially ended earlier this March, after the Hongkongese organization dropped the roster just seven months into the project following "careful consideration of the organization's ability to put the players in the best position to participate in all available competitions needed in particular for VRS."
Before he completes the move to FlyQuest, nettik will play out one last event with ex-TALON, the DFRAG Invitational, taking place in Brisbane, Australia from March 20-23.
His first test with FlyQuest will be on the team's home turf, at IEM Melbourne, which kicks off on April 21.
FlyQuest's new roster is:
Joshua "INS" Potter
Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
Declan "Vexite" Portelli
Iulian "regali" Harjău
Corey "nettik" Browne
Erdenetsogt "erkaSt" Gantulga (coach)
